At Greenlyte Carbon Technologies, you will be a very early joiner in the finance team and will have the potential to see the wholistic finance organization of a growing startup.
Most likely, your role will develop into FP&A/Controlling and Corporate Finance mid-term.
How you'll contribute
- Support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Prepare regular financial reports and management presentations
- Analyze financial KPIs and provide actionable recommendations
- Assist with cash flow planning and liquidity management
- Support monthly closing and ongoing accounting to maintain real-time accuracy
- Improve and optimize financial processes and tools
- Contribute to the company’s financing strategy (equity and debt financing)
- Support investor relations and fundraising activities
- Collaborate with external partners (e.g., banks, tax advisors)
Your first 12 months in the role: expectations and deliverables
Month 0-3
- Own ongoing accounting procedures and identify areas for improvement
- Gain deep understanding of financial data on a cost-center level
- Automate internal reporting structures
Months 3-6- Own financial modeling for internal & external use cases
- Conduct financial performance reviews with the leadership team independently
- Implement quick-win process improvements
Months 6-12
- Contribute to financial IT system implementations, such as a potential ERP system
- Act as a key financial partner and substitute for the VP Finance when needed
About you
✔ 3-5 years of experience in Controlling, FP&A, or Corporate Finance, ideally in a startup or fast-growing company
✔ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (CFA or MBA is a plus)
✔ Strong analytical skills and experience with financial modeling
✔ Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, BI tools, and ERP systems
✔ Entrepreneurial mindset, hands-on mentality, and strong problem-solving skills
✔ Excellent English and at least German language level C1
Bonus
✔ Basic knowledge of IFRS or HGB
✔ Experience in working with investors and banks

❌ This role cannot be done fully remotely. We offer a hybrid working model with a minimum of 3 working days in our headquarter in Essen.
