How you'll contribute

At Greenlyte Carbon Technologies, you will be responsible for supporting and optimizing the IT infrastructure that powers our work on our carbon capture technology and ensures seamless day-to-day operations across all departments.
This includes:
Providing first-level IT support for hardware and software issues to employees
Setting up and managing laptops, mobile devices, and other IT equipment
Assisting with user onboarding/offboarding processes, including account creation and access management.
Supporting the maintenance of internal networks as well as the IT environment
Support the improvement and automation of the IT environment
Monitoring and ensuring cybersecurity best practices are followed
Assisting with software updates and system upgrades
Collaborating with external IT service providers when necessary
Ensure all employees have functional hardware and software, minimizing downtime
Streamline IT processes to improve efficiency and support company growth
Strengthen security by implementing IT policies and ensuring compliance
Proactively identify areas where IT improvements can benefit the company
Act as a key point of contact for IT-related inquiries
Your first 12 months in the role: expectations and deliverables
Months 0-3
Complete onboarding and understand the current IT landscape
Assist in IT equipment setup and configuration for new hires
Start providing first-level support for basic IT issues
Document and update existing IT procedures
Months 3-6
Take ownership of small IT projects such as improving device management workflows
Support office network improvements and troubleshoot connectivity issues
Begin regular monitoring of IT assets and inventory
Assist in rolling out company-wide software updates
Months 6-12
Lead initiatives to automate repetitive IT tasks
Optimize the employee onboarding/offboarding IT process
Propose and implement improvements to cybersecurity measures
Participate in IT infrastructure planning and scaling

How the hiring process works
Our hiring managers will review your application and upon seeing a potential match for one of the roles, will get in touch with you to organise a first round video interview. Following a successful call, we will then invite you onsite to meet with more people from the team before making a final decision.
Noteworthy points
- This role cannot be done remotely. We require someone who lives within commuting distance to Essen or is open to relocate which we are happy to support.
